La Posta Road Gravel Project

From Jim Davis, Director of Public Works
aa
We were recently contacted by the Helmur Corporation, (Bruce Heller) as they were hired to haul off the residual gravel from the now closed Tribal Weasel Skin Gravel Pit located on County Road 213, La Posta Road. The pit is located on Tribal land, and is not a land use activity permitted by the County. The haul is scheduled to start April 16th and should be completed in about six weeks (45 days), hauling six days a week, Monday - Saturday. It is our understanding most if not all the gravel will be used in the gas patch on access roads or well pads. Some of the gravel will be used on gas development sites directly to the west of the pit and will not impact public roads, however a significant amount of traffic will use CR 213 and 214. At our request they agreed to issue a public notice (submitted to the Herald).

Porta Potties on the Valley Loop

Once again, the porta potties on CR 250 and CR 203 are baaaack for all cyclists and runners. In case you missed it last year, the one on CR 250 is north of the Bar D on the west side of 250. The one on CR 203 is south of Trimble, by the huge red barn on the east side of 203. They should be installed this weekend.
