"I felt it was an honor to be able to compete with over 5000 of the best older athletes on the planet. It is always inspiring to see what heights people, up to their 90s, can reach. Hopefully, this will continue to inspire me to keep swimming into the later, later years. Although I might not be in the caliber of some of the x-Olympians, I was extremely happy to place as high as 8th in one of my events."
